Abstract: Xi Jinping Thought on the Rule of Law is the new development and new leap forward of the sinicization of Marxist theory of the rule of law, an important part of Xi Jinping Thought on Socialism with Chinese Characteristics for a New Era, and a fundamental abidance and action guideline for overall law-based governance. The compilation and implementation of the Civil Code is a vivid practice of Xi Jinping Thought on the Rule of Law: Party leadership is a strong political guarantee for the compilation and implementation of the Civil Code; the people as masters of the country is the fundamental purpose of the compilation and implementation of the Civil Code; the path of socialist rule of law with Chinese characteristics is the only path of the compilation and implementation of the Civil Code; the compilation and implementation of the Civil Code is an important achievement in advancing the modernization of state governance along the path of the rule of law; the compilation and implementation of the Civil Code is an important part of building a system of socialist rule of law with Chinese characteristics.
